Last updated: 2026

1. Who We Are

Med Software Hub (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs medsoftwarehub.com, an independent website that publishes guides, comparisons and pricing research about healthcare software such as EHR/EMR, practice management, medical billing, telehealth and compliance tools.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through this website and through emails or messages you send us. It does not apply to other websites or to software vendors we write about.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you fill in our “Get Free Software Recommendations” form, we collect:

  • Your first and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Practice or clinic name
  • The type of software you are interested in
  • Anything you write in the message box

We also collect what you send us when you contact us by email, through our Contact Us page, or when you pitch an article through Write For Us.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server and the tools we use may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages you visit, how long you stay and the website that referred you. We also count article views to show how many times a post has been read.

Saved posts

If you use the “Saved Posts” or bookmark feature, the posts you save are stored so you can find them again.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To reply to your request and give you software recommendations
  • To answer questions you send us and handle editorial or contributor requests
  • To understand which articles are useful and improve our content
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam, fraud and abuse
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not sell your personal information for money.

4. How We Share Your Information

When you ask us for software recommendations, we may share the details you submit (such as your name, contact details, practice name and the software you need) with software vendors or partners that offer products matching your request, so they can contact you. Those vendors handle your information under their own privacy policies.

We may also share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the website, such as web hosting, form handling, email delivery and analytics, only as needed to provide their services
  • Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold, merged or transferred

5. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember settings such as dark mode and saved posts, and measure how visitors use our content.

We use Google tools (through Google Site Kit), which may include Google Analytics, to understand website traffic. Google may set its own cookies and process data under Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Our share buttons link to social networks such as Facebook and X. If you click them, those platforms may collect information under their own policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

6. Health Information

Med Software Hub is a publisher, not a healthcare provider, health plan or medical software vendor. Please do not send us patient information or any protected health information (PHI) through our forms, email or comments.

Our forms are designed for business contact details only. If you send us patient information by mistake, we will delete it once we notice it.

7. Data Retention

We keep form submissions and emails only as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up on your request, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve disputes. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics tool. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No website or online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or update it
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Object to or limit how we use it, or withdraw consent
  • Ask for a copy of your information in a portable format

To make a request, reach us through our Contact Us page. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days, or within the time required by applicable law. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send by using the link in that email or by contacting us.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights under state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights. You may submit a request yourself or through an authorized agent through our Contact Us page.

11. Visitors Outside the United States

Our website is aimed at healthcare organizations in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information to respond to your request (contract), for our legitimate interests in running and improving the website, or with your consent where required. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

12. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for adults and healthcare professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
